Re-Creation Taxidermy

Owner, Greg Heil

In 1997, our company, Re-Creation Taxidermy was founded in Richfield Utah. With over 25 years of taxidermy experience behind us we moved our firm to Nampa Idaho, in 2008. The move to the Treasure Valley has provided us an amazing opportunity to continue to support the needs of our incredibly loyal Utah clientele but also expand our reach into the Pacific Northwest.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had many amazing opportunities in the art of taxidermy. Over the last few decades I’ve had innumerable chances to work with exotic and extremely rare game, as well as, some of the finest trophies native to North America. During this same time, I am also very proud to say that this work has been recognized and awarded numerous honors from the likes of Safari Club International, and others.

Passion, dedication and hard work are the hallmarks of any successful big game hunter. In capturing the spirit and memory of these hunts I am required to maintain the very same standards as the hunter. I dedicate long hours to my art, am an absolute perfectionist with every piece and most importantly, I love what I do. I believe this passion towards my work is visible in every piece I create. From the lichen on the rocks to the glint in the eye, my years of experience and my love of the art of taxidermy will shine through in your trophy.

My wife, 4 children, and I enjoy being outdoors, going camping, fishing and hunting. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm of the outdoors with my children as my father did when I was a boy. My wife, Kristen, has helped to make Re-Creation Taxidermy a success by her continued support and understanding of long days and nights spent in the shop.

Moving to the Treasure Valley has allowed me to meet local outdoor enthusiasts and provided me with local clientele in addition to my Utah clients. I enjoy bringing local work into my shop and sharing what Idaho has to offer. I take pride in my work and strive for perfection in every piece. I dedicate long hours to my clients to ensure that their hunting memories will be persevered in perfection for a lifetime.
